Camden County Hires Manager to Handle Federal ARPA Funds

Camden County officials announced late last week that the county has hired an individual to roll out the programs associated with the American Rescue Plan Act funds from the federal government.

Administrator Steve Howard said Eric Landon will handle the tasks.

In this role, Mr. Landon provides program management and strategic leadership to guide the investment of the County’s direct allocation of the ARPA Local Fiscal Recovery Funds. Additionally, he will also help support navigating the County, other local governments, and the community in leveraging all funding opportunities associated with ARPA.

“We are pleased to welcome Eric Landon back to Camden County,” said County Administrator Steve Howard. “He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in Camden County as well as southeast Georgia and northeast Florida.”

Previously, Mr. Landon served as Planning Director for Camden County and spent ten years working for Glynn County. He also served as the Director of Planning and Government Services for the Coastal Regional Commission with membership including 10 counties and 35 cities. In that role he worked with Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding and with other State and Federal partners.

Mr. Landon has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Georgia Southern University. He holds the Certified Planner designation from the American Planning Association
