Varsity Boys and Girls Soccer Defeat Villa Rica Wildcats

On Tuesday, February 2, both Rome High School varsity soccer teams defeated Villa Rica in a non-conference match held at Barron Stadium.

The Lady Wolves kicked off the night with a 1-0 victory, followed by the varsity boys who defeated the Wildcats 2-0.

“Our boys did a fantastic job against Villa Rica tonight,” said Head Coach, Luis Goya. “I am so proud of Victor Valencia and Junior Morente, who each scored both of our goals. They also had several shots on goal as well. Emmanuel Lom, who served as our captain tonight, played as an attacking mid and his passes and movement were at a high level.”

Goya continued, “On the back line for the wolves, Ivan Orellana and Issac Vardy insured nothing got past our defensive line. Everybody played very well! This is the beginning of a great season!”

GO WOLVES!
