Mr. Raymond Aaron Miles

On Thursday, November 23, 2023, Raymond Aaron Miles reunited with his beloved son, Ryan Alan Miles, brother, James Larry Miles, parents, Aaron and Jerolene Morgan Miles, other friends and loved ones and saw his Lord and Savior face to face. Born in Alabama on June 20th 1947, Raymond was raised in Bulloch County where he spent much of his 76 years. He was a graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School, Swainsboro Tech, and Georgia State University. He spent 4 years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was honored to be a deacon at Normantown Baptist Church, thus allowing his to serve both God and Country. Upon his death, he was a member of Temple Hill Baptist Church in Middleground. From selling peanuts as a child on the streets of downtown Statesboro to his retirement as Quality Manager for Chematron in Swainsboro, Raymond always took his financial responsibilities and his need to provide for his family seriously. His absence in their lives will be felt by his sons, Robert and Raymond Miles, daughter-in-law, Dana Cook Miles, sisters, Dianne Cleary and Karen Gentry, as well as his wife of 54 years, Carol Miles. Survivors also include his granddaughters, Madison and Aubrey Miles, sisters-in-law, Regina Miles and Jeanmarie Collins, and brother-in-law, Rob Collins. The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at Temple Hill Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 3:00pm with Rev. Will Griffith officiating. Interment will be at Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
