Tormenta FC, Forest Heights Pharmacy to Host Vaccine Clinic at Home Opener

South Georgia Tormenta FC is committed to ensuring that the COVID-19 vaccine is widely accessible for Statesboro and the surrounding communities. Partnering with Forest Heights Pharmacy in Statesboro, Georgia, the club will host a vaccine clinic at its home opener on April 17 at 7 p.m. ET versus Fort Lauderdale CF from Eagle Field in Erk Russell Park.

Additionally, all fans who show their vaccination card at the ticket gate on game day will receive a Bolt the Ibis vaccine sticker and $5 off a General Admission ticket or VIP ticket.

“Doing our part for a healthy Georgia and giving our fans a chance to be vaccinated seems like the easiest of decisions,” Co-Owner and President Darin Van Tassell said. “Being the first professional sports team to host a vaccine clinic during an actual game is precisely the kind of first we seek to be a part of. Pros Start Here. And the virus ends here, too.”

Due to the CDC and FDA pause of usage on the Johnson & Johnson Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine, Forest Heights Pharmacy will be administering the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine inside the gates on the north end of the stadium and will schedule a follow up for the second shot. The home opener vaccine clinic is free to the public and open for walk-ups starting when the gates open at 6 p.m. ET. Fans can expect to fill out a form upon arrival and a 15-minute waiting period following the vaccine. For more information on the Moderna Vaccine, visit the CDC.

“Forest Heights Pharmacy is thrilled to be able to partner with Tormenta FC and provide a Covid-19 vaccine clinic at the opening game of the 2021 season on April 17,” Forest Heights Owner and Pharmacist Ben Ross said. “Tormenta FC continues to prove they are committed to this community, and we are excited to help be a part of this event! If you haven’t already received a COVID-19 vaccine, then we want to encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity and get vaccinated!”

Tormenta FC is excited to safely host a limited capacity crowd in Erk Russell Park and asks all fans to wear masks until the vaccine becomes more widely available. Due to limited capacity, the club urges all fans to purchase their tickets, including season tickets, half-season plan or quarter-season plan, in advance.

Fans should download the Tormenta FC app to be the first to know about news and ticket deals. Supporters can purchase season tickets to guarantee their presence at every home match in Erk Russell Park which are available now with affordable 12-month payment plans and an array of perks.
