Mr. Mark Charles Schroder, 64, of Sylvania, GA, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro surrounded by his loving family.
Mark was a master journeyman for over thirty years. He was a skilled carpenter who could build anything, and a master with his hands. An avid hunter and fisher, he loved spending time outdoors and being surrounded by nature. Mark loved old westerns that showcased when life was simpler, and he was a fan of history, especially the Civil War. In his free time, he also enjoyed watching NASCAR and football.
Mark is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Deel. He is survived by his loving wife, Vivian Schroder; daughters, Lisa (BJ) Wemes, and Crystal (Mike) Leo, both from Kentucky; his father and stepmother, James (Susan) Peed of Virginia, and a sister, Susan (Rob) Zipprian. Mark had six grandchildren he was very proud of; Brett Wemes, Kaylee Leo, Aubrie Leo, Katelyn Seek, Kyle Seek and Corbin Seek, and one great-grandchild, Emersyn Alcorn.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Rowe, Leonard Masters, Dylan Masters, Jonathan Moore, Toby Bragg, and Michael Waters.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Karen Zeigler officiating. The family will receive visitors from noon until the service hour at the cemetery.
