Board of Education continues budget discussions, May 30 work session added

At its May 9 regular session, the Bulloch County Board of Education added an additional work session to further discuss its Fiscal Year 2025 Budget.

A called work session is now scheduled for Thursday, May 30, at 6:30 p.m., in the boardroom of the school district’s central office. Other upcoming meetings which feature the budget on the agenda are June 6 and June 27.

The meetings are open to the public. Anyone who wishes to view meetings online live or later may do so at www.bullochschools.org/boardlive.

The June 6 regular session meeting will offer a time on the agenda for public comment.

The public may also share feedback to the board’s budget process by email at boe@bullochschools.org. 

The Board began discussing a proposed $159.5 million general operating fund budget on April 25. The Board is scheduled to vote on a final budget at the June 27 meeting. 

The school district is required to have an approved budget in place by June 30 or adopt a spending resolution for July.
