Bulloch Schools to Release Early on Thursday, Closed on Friday

From Bulloch County Schools:

For all students and employees, Bulloch County Schools will have a half-day on Thursday, September 26, and will be closed on Friday, September 27. The Board of Education’s work session on Thursday is also canceled.

This decision follows guidance from the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, recommending early dismissal and closure for schools south of Macon.

All schools will dismiss two hours earlier on Thursday for both car and bus riders. Please plan for this adjusted schedule to ensure a smooth dismissal. There will be no after-school activities on Thursday. Look for updates from your school regarding Friday’s extracurricular events.

Schools are thankful to have a half day on Thursday to provide students with learning, meals, and peer connections. The safety of children and employees is the top priority.

Please remain alert for further updates from Bulloch County Schools and local media. Schools look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday.

Thank you for your cooperation. Stay safe.
