Bulloch County Parks & Recreation has new leadership.
The announcement came Tuesday morning with the county department announcing Dadrian “Dee” Cosby as the Bulloch County Recreation and Parks Department Director and Tony Morgan as the Assistant Director.
Both men have worked with the county department for over twenty years. Dadrian will take over as director following the resignation of Eddie Canon over the summer.
Dadrian started with our department in 1998, coaching rec basketball while attending Georgia Southern. Following that basketball season, he was promoted to part-time field supervisor in Stilson and then in Brooklet. After graduating he was given a full-time position as the Athletic Supervisor overseeing Portal and Statesboro communities. After 17 years he moved into the Athletics Division Manager role. As the manager, he oversees 5 full-time employees, seasonal part-time staff and manages the Athletics Division operating budget. On the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA) side of the profession, he has sat on many state committees. Awards Committee, Students and Young Professionals (Chairman), Annual Conference Committee, Editorial Committee (Chair), and State Athletic Committee where he is the current State Athletic Chairman. Dee has been with our department for 26 years. He also currently serves as the Vice President of GRPA and will move into the President – Elect position in November.

Tony started with our department for his internship in 2000. He took over the role of Parks Division Manager in 2010 and during this time he had planned, directed, and overseen operations and staff for the Parks Division, which includes maintenance and repair of parks and facilities. This area consists of 9 parks, 2.5-mile S&S Greenway, 27-hole Disc Golf Course. In addition to recreation facilities, he oversees the grounds maintenance of 42 county owned buildings and facilities which consists of Courthouse, Judicial, Magistrate, Fire Dept., Voting Precincts. Tony graduated from ABAC with 2 turf degrees and has a passion for growing quality turf on the athletic fields for Bulloch County citizens to enjoy. He also develops and implements the budget for the Parks Division, plans and schedules large projects, maintains facility and equipment inventory and replacement schedules.
