Georgia Southern’s annual Lighting Ceremonies Nov. 19 and Nov. 20

WHO: Georgia Southern University Office of Student Activities (OSA)

WHAT: President Kyle Marrero, students, faculty and staff will kick off the holiday season with a pair of lighting celebrations on the Statesboro Campus and the Armstrong Campus in Savannah. This free community event will feature refreshments, as well as a chance to capture a photo with Santa Gus at the Statesboro event.

“Georgia Southern’s Holiday Lighting Ceremony is a cherished tradition and the sparkling start to the holiday season,” said Kristen Chandler, assistant director for OSA. “Join us for festive fun with ornament decorating, a jolly holiday hunt with exciting giveaways, and warm up with delicious hot chocolate — it’s the perfect way to kick off the holidays.”

The Lighting of Sweetheart Circle – Statesboro Campus: Nov. 19, 6. – 8 p.m. on Sweetheart Circle, Statesboro

Armstrong Campus Ceremony: Nov. 20, 6 – 8 p.m. on the Burnett Lawn, Savannah
