Man wanted in shooting incident in Statesboro

On 1/9/25 at 4:23 pm SPD officers responded to a dirt lot on Pine Street in Statesboro for a Flock gunshot detection alert. Officers discovered a 55 year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper leg. They rendered aid until the arrival of Bulloch County EMS, who transported the victim to East Georgia from where he was flown to Memorial. His injuries are not expected to be life threatening.

Detectives arrived to work the scene and were able to identify 57 year old London Bell (Pamela Way, Statesboro) as the shooter. Bell was already wanted on prior felony warrants and is now additionally charged with Aggravated Assault. The shooting appears to be a result of a personal dispute between the parties.

Information on this case or Bell’s whereabouts may be provided to Senior Detective Dustin Cross by phone at 912-764-9911 or by submitting an anonymous tip through our website https://statesboropd.com/ using the “Submit a Tip” link.
