Warner Robins Posts Positive Numbers Across the Board in Latest Jobs Report

Georgia Labor Commissioner Mark Butler said Thursday that Warner Robins saw positive over-the-month measures in every key indicator in April.

“We had another strong month in April,” said Commissioner of Labor Mark Butler. “We saw the unemployment rate decrease in almost every MSA, along with an over the month and over the year decrease in initial claims for every MSA.”   

In Warner Robins, the unemployment rate decreased by 0.5 percentage points in April, reaching 3.3 percent. A year ago, the rate was 9.9 percent.

The labor force increased in Warner Robins by 138 and ended the month with 88,927. That number is up 5,684 when compared to April of 2020.

Warner Robins finished the month with 85,970 employed residents.  That number increased by 536 over the month and is up by 10,933 when compared to the same time a year ago.

Warner Robins ended April with 77,100 jobs. That number increased by 300 from March to April and increased by 7,000 when compared to this time last year.

The number of unemployment claims went down by 27 percent in Warner Robins. When compared to last April, claims were down by about 90 percent.

Employ Georgia, the GDOL’s online job listing service at employgeorgia.com showed about 1,680 active job postings in metro Warner Robins for April.
