By the Numbers: Bulloch County Commission – Seat 2A

The final campaign finance reports for the May 21 primary election were recently filed and the data reveals a host of interesting statistics about the spending in an election cycle that left every incumbent with a challenger out of a job, with the exception of Sheriff Noel Brown.

The information below is combined from the April 30, 2024 reporting paperwork and the June 30, 2024 reporting paperwork. Candidates complete their own campaign finance paperwork and submit the information to the Board of Elections. The reports do not include political spending by outside organizations.

Please note that the numbers below do not present a complete representation and comparison of the race as Curt Deal did not file a June 30, 2024 campaign finance disclosure in accordance with Georgia law. Reports were due on June 30 and penalties begin accruing on July 7, 2024.

Screenshot from the filing portal which shows which candidates have filed the most recent campaign finance paperwork.

Deal ended the April 30th campaign period with $5,984.47 cash on hand. It is unclear if he received additional donations or expended additional funds for campaign activities due to the lacking campaign finance reports for the period beginning May 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2024.
