Bulloch Schools’ traditional Thanksgiving Feasts with families cancelled for 2021

The week before Thanksgiving is traditionally when the district’s schools, particularly elementary, welcome parents and guardians to a family feast with their children in the school cafeterias.  While schools are eager to return to treasured traditions like these and have the opportunity to share fellowship with families, unfortunately schools are not able to host families this year.

While some school events are now possible, the global COVID-19 pandemic has caused labor and food supply chain issues across the country.  Bulloch County is no exception.  The school district has been unable to maintain sufficient lunchroom staffing levels, and it is a weekly struggle to obtain the needed food, paper goods, and other supplies necessary for regular daily meal service to children.

Bulloch County Schools appreciates your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you at other school events throughout the year.  We are thankful to serve your children, and we wish you a happy and healthy holiday season.
