Statesboro High School Science Teacher Rich McCombs was selected as the 2022 Georgia Region Teacher of the Year by the Georgia Junior Science & Humanities Symposium during its annual event held on the campus of the University of Georgia. As part of the National Junior Science & Humanities Symposium, each state region selects one teacher whom they believe demonstrates exceptional contributions to promoting student research.
