Statesboro High School Student Named to State Superintendent’s Advisory Committee

Eli Compton of Statesboro High School has been named to State School Superintendent Richard Woods’ Advisory Committee for the 2021-2022 school year!

The State School Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council is a group of students in grades 9-12 who discuss how decisions made at the state level are affecting students throughout Georgia. Members meet throughout the school year with State Superintendent Woods and are advisors who act as liaisons between the Department of Education and the students of Georgia.

All students in grades 10-12 were eligible to apply. Four students in each RESA district were selected to serve on the Student Advisory Council.
