Taste of Downtown to Take Place Sept. 9

The Downtown Statesboro Development Authority will host their annual Wells Fargo Advisors Taste of Downtown First Friday on September 9th  from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Downtown Statesboro. This event will highlight Statesboro’s favorite restaurants inside local downtown businesses, and feature live music and entertainment.

The Wells Fargo Advisors 2022 Taste of Downtown is a fun appetizer sampling scavenger hunt. Attendees can taste food from over twenty five of Statesboro’s best restaurants, all while shopping at downtown’s finest businesses within walking distance of the Courthouse. 

Tickets will be available for purchase on the night of the event for $10 cash starting
at 5:00 p.m. at the “First Friday” tent on the Courthouse lawn. A wristband and a map with the location of each participating business and restaurant will be included. Everyone must show his or her wristband in order to sample food.

The Wells Fargo Advisors Taste of Downtown will feature a variety of live music and entertainment. DJ Randy will play a selection of favorite tunes on the Courthouse steps. Brandy Harvey will be performing on the porch of City Hall. Music lovers can find Jackson Canady at Vandy’s BBQ, Juliette Muldrew on the porch of Ag South and Carlos Carvajal, violinist, by Charlies Funky Junk. The after party will begin at 8 p.m. with Dylan Bragg and Miles Willis
at Eagle Creek Brewing Co.

There will be a Party Harbor Bouncy on the Courthouse lawn and a large variety of vendors. Vyve Broadband will be hosting a drawing for a TV. People can register for a chance to win at their table.
