Thomas Named EGRMC Employee of the Month

This is a press release from East Georgia Regional Medical Center:

Congratulations to our March 2024 EGRMC Employee of the Month, Spenser Thomas, front desk attendant at Statesboro Imaging Center!

Spenser has been part of the team at EGRMC for over five years. Spenser was nominated by her colleagues and a patient for her positive attitude, sense of ownership, her responsiveness and safety awareness, her commitment to providing quality service and her great work ethic while supporting her fellow Statesboro Imaging Center team members.

One colleague stated that, “Spencer goes above and beyond to ensure her Statesboro Imaging Center patients are taken care of. She wants all of her patients to receive exceptional care and service. Patients often express perfectly the dedication that she has to her job and to having stellar customer service skills at the front desk.”

A patient expressed in a letter that Spenser, “has been doing fine work at the Imaging Center. Spencer was kind, professional, courteous, and helpful after I came in several times over the course of two weeks to clear up some insurance issues. She rises above the normal receptionist. You have a jewel at SIC and I wanted to make sure you all knew. Being a retired vocational office training coordinator for the school system for over 30 years, I know excellence when I see it. She is above average, excellent in her manner, appearance and in command of her job. When she took the time to personally reach out to me, it meant the world to me.”

“Spencer is a vital asset to our team at EGRMC,” says Stephen Pennington, CEO of EGRMC. “Her dedication and enthusiasm perfectly illustrate what it means to be an exemplary team member. She truly represents our mission of providing quality healthcare services with safety and compassion to every patient, every time, always.”
