The Statesboro Police Department says three men are behind bars after a shooting at Park Place apartments on Tuesday.
The agency said officers were dispatched to a ‘shots fired’ call in Park Place on Lanier Drive just after 4:30 p.m. on June 28. When officers arrived, they determined no one had ben injured in the exchange of gunfire, but that the incident was linked to an earlier domestic dispute at another location.
According to Statesboro PD, the parties related to the participants in the domestic dispute chose to confront one another in Park Place using firearms.
As a result, officers searched two different locations, recovered four firearms, and arrested three individuals. The defendants are as follows:
- Frederick Watkins (50, Somerset Townhomes, Statesboro): 1 count Aggravated
Assault, 1 count Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, 1
count of Reckless Conduct, 1 count of Battery-Family Violence - Victor Bolden (20, Park Place Apartments, Statesboro): 1 count Aggravated
Assault, 1 count Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, 1
count Terroristic Threats, and 1 count of Reckless Conduct - Dakwan Marshall (21, Park Place Apartments, Statesboro): 1 count Aggravated
Assault, 1 count Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, 1
count of Reckless Conduct
All three were taken to the Bulloch County jail where they await further court action.
