Brooklet Police Dept. Says Home Invasion Led to Seizure of Guns, Drugs

A home invasion that took place over the weekend resulted in a much larger investigation by the Brooklet Police Department and supporting agencies.

The following was posted on the city Facebook page Saturday afternoon:

A house in Brooklet was struck by a home invasion in which shots were exchanged. Upon officers arrival drugs and guns were discovered at the scene. With the assistance of Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI three guns and several pounds of marijuana were seized. The GBI is heading up the investigation and are interviewing those involved.

The GBI has not yet commented on the case and no other information is available at this time.
