A man has been arrested after an incident where it was discovered that he had been looking into the windows of a home on Clito Road.
The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office says residents in a home on Clito Road were awakened by a stranger prowling on their back porch on the morning of May 26. When the offender was confronted by the armed homeowner, he fled into the woods.
Deputy Ken Kelley arrived on scene and was able to locate the suspect in the woods not far from the complainant’s home. The suspect was detained and Deputy Kelley completed an initial investigation finding that the suspect, identified as Deandre Trowel-Mosteller, had been looking into the victim’s bedroom.
Trowel-Mosteller was also on parole. Deputy Kelley arrested Trowel-Mosteller and charged him with Peeping Tom, as well as a number of misdemeanors. He was transported to the Bulloch County jail.
Sheriff Brown, in a press release, commended Deputy Kelley for his swift action and investigation which likely prevented any further crimes from being committed. Brown also said the incident demonstrates why all citizens should “have the right to legally possess firearms.”
