A Bulloch County deputy sheriff interrupted a burglary in progress near Register on Monday morning.
According to the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, October 3, deputies responded to the Pine Inn Mobile Home Park near Register in response to a report of a burglary in progress.
Upon arrival, deputies canvassed the area thanks to a description provided by a witness.
Corporal Hunter Oglesby located a subject matching the description and detained a man now identified as Rodriquez Marquise Bunyon.
Oglesby held Bunyon until the other deputies were able to assist and he was positively identified as the offender in the case.
The Sheriff’s Office says the Criminal Investigations Division identified Bunyon as the offender in at least three previous burglaries in the area. Bunyon was subsequently charged with multiple counts of burglary as well as other related charges.
Sheriff Brown noted in a press release that Corporal Oglesby likely thwarted several burglaries Monday and praised his efforts in assisting in solving several other cases.
