One person is dead following a crash on Highway 67 outside of Statesboro on Saturday night.
A car with four teenagers inside was traveling south on Highway 67 just after 11:30 p.m. when it was struck by another car traveling the wrong direction. That vehicle had two males in the car. The car that was traveling the wrong direction caught on fire after the collision.
The head on collision killed one individual and sent five to the hospital. A passenger in the vehicle with two adult males was pronounced dead on the scene.
The teenagers in the other vehicle are excepted to be okay.
Three agencies, including the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia State Patrol, and Bulloch County Fire & Rescue, responded to the scene. Georgia State Patrol, which is still investigating, said the wreck happened near mile marker 12.
