A recent undercover investigation and subsequent search warrant led to the recovery of crack cocaine and other drugs, as well as a stolen firearm, but one man is still wanted by the Statesboro Police Department.
The Statesboro Police Department said Tuesday that the SPD Impact Team received a number of reports over the last month about crack cocaine distribution on Gordon Street. Officers made a number of purchases of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, and marijuana before serving a search warrant on March 23 to recover a trafficking weight of crack cocaine and smaller amounts of the other drugs.
The agency said Tuesday that an arrest was made at the time of the search warrant as well. 32-year-old Herbert Nathaniel Johnson of Statesboro was arrested and charged with Trafficking Cocaine, multiple counts of Sale of Cocaine and Sale of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He is being held at the Bulloch County jail.
Arrest warrants have been issued for on other individual, 31-year-old Quentin Lashawn Lanier, who was not present when the search warrant was served. Lanier is wanted
