Sister of Shooting Victim Arrested for Wednesday Shooting at Stadium Walk Apartments

Statesboro Police announced Thursday morning that an arrest had been made in the Wednesday afternoon shooting at the Stadium Walk Apartment complex on Lanier Drive.

Patrol officers responded just after 12:00 p.m. Wednesday to a call of a reported shooting inside one of the apartments.

Upon their arrival, officers located the 32 year old female victim with a single gunshot wound to her back. The victim was rushed to Memorial Health in Savannah where she remains under treatment.

The scene was secured by officers and detectives responded to begin the
criminal investigation.

The victim’s sister, 28-year-old Amber Frazier also of Lanier Drive, remained on scene and was transported to the Statesboro Police Department.

Once the scene was processed and the interviews completed, Frazier was formally charged with one count of Aggravated Assault and one count of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.

SPD says they believe a domestic dispute occurred leading up to the incident in the apartment, which the sisters share together.

Anyone with information on this case should contact Senior Detective Katie Reese at
