Statesboro PD Impact Team Arrests 2 on New Year’s Day

Two individuals are behind bars following an arrest by the Statesboro Police Department’s Impact Team.

According to a press release, officers assigned to Statesboro PD’s Impact Team arrived at a residence in the 400 block of Catherine Avenue on January 1 to investigate a drug complaint and attempt to locate a wanted person.

From the press release on Thursday:

Upon arriving, the officers were able to develop probable cause and obtain a search warrant for the premises. The subsequent search uncovered quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, prescription pills, and marijuana.

Otis Yaniel Flores-Tirado (26, Catherine Avenue, Statesboro) was charged with two counts of Trafficking Controlled Substances (fentanyl and methamphetamine), one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute (prescription pills), one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute (marijuana).

Christian Yandel Flores (24, Catherine Avenue, Statesboro) was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for Battery. Both were transported to the Bulloch County Jail.
