It’s a Downtown Fiesta in Statesboro!

The Downtown Statesboro Development Authority partners with CORE Credit Union to host Fiesta de Mayo, a F1RST Friday event on May 3 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm.

Fiesta de Mayo is a festivity in honor of Latin culture in the heart of downtown Statesboro. Located on the courthouse lawn, this event will be a lively jubilee that brings the community together for our celebration of Cinco de Mayo.

“This event is the perfect way to bring the different cultures within our community together for a fun night downtown,” said Allen Muldrew, Executive Director for the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority. “Fiesta de Mayo is one you don’t want to miss!”

There will be something for everyone at this First Friday fiesta. Many shops downtown will be open for business during the event, and vendors will be set up on the courthouse lawn and sidewalks. This will provide a great shopping experience and an opportunity to purchase a Mother’s Day gift.

There will be multiple food trucks with a variety of options. Upbeat, spanish music will be provided by DJ Randy throughout the night.

With parental supervision, kids can jump and play in a Party Harbor bouncy house. Fix-it-Friday will also be in the BIG alley (58 E. Main St.)  from 6-8 p.m. with a garden tool repair booth.

First Fridays are made possible by the support of our sponsors: American Roofing, Aspen Aerogels,  Colony Bank, CORE Credit, Coca-Cola,  East Ga Center for Oral & Facial Surgery, JC Lewis Ford, Georgia Power, Hendley Properties, Party Harbor, Party Impressions, Manack Signature Properties, Morris Bank, McLendon Enterprises, Shoemaker Equipment Supply, Southern Chiropractor & Wellness Center, Statesboro Properties, Statesboro Oral Surgery, Statesboro Urgent Care, Tormenta FC, Vyve Broadband, and NECCO.
