Register for Graduation Performance Academy by June 3

Program offers course recovery options for students in grades 9 to 12

Current high school students who need to make up required academic course credits are invited to apply for the summer session of the Graduation Performance Academy by June 3.

Bulloch County Schools’ Graduation Performance Academy will aid students in grades 9-12, during a summer session June 3 through July 12. Interested students may speak with their high school counselor and then apply online at bullochschools.org/gpa. A flyer is also attached.

The free, self-paced session uses a familiar computer-based platform, Edgenuity, with the support of certified teachers from the school district. Teachers will be available to assist students Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., either in person or virtually via Gmail, telephone or Google Meet.

While students can set their own self-paced schedules, in order to earn credits successfully, it is highly recommended that students commit to working at least 15 hours per week on their course(s).  Students will also have access to a graduation specialist who can help with goal setting, the Edgenuity platform and other questions.

Remember attending high school for four years does not make a student eligible to graduate. High school students must earn the appropriate number of course units each year to be considered on-track to graduate with a total of 24 credits. Students must make up any missing credits by attending a credit recovery program like this. This program is intended for credit recovery and not credit acceleration. This program is made possible by a Title V Rural grant.
