The Brooklet City Council will meet this week to conduct interviews in hopes of finding a new city attorney.
Council will meet June 6 at 4:00 p.m. to hear from Oliver Maner LLP and Bruce, Matthews, & Lavoie Attorneys at Law.
Oliver Maner will present at 4:15p.m.
Bruce Matthews & Lavoie will present at 5:15 p.m.
The meeting is open to the public but public comment is not slated to take place.
Brooklet is currently represented by Sylvania attorney Hugh Hunter. Hunter retired at the end of 2023 and was replaced by Statesboro attorney Cain Smith. Smith, however, resigned earlier this year and Hunter has been filling in in the interim.
