The Bulloch County Board of Education will discuss its proposed Fiscal Year 2025 budget during its April 25 and May 9 meetings.
Based on a timeline presented to the Board on April 11 by Alison Boatright, the school district’s chief financial officer, Superintendent Charles Wilson is scheduled to request that the Board tentatively approve the budget on May 9, and request a final adoption of the budget on June 6.Â
The public is invited to hear and give feedback to this process.
Board meetings are open to the public, and begin at 6:30 p.m., in the boardroom of the school district’s Central Office, located at 150 Williams Road in Statesboro. Guests may enter entrance A.

School district departments began work on their individual budgets in January 2024, and submitted them to the district’s finance department in February.
In March, the school district’s chief financial officer prepared school funding models based on each school’s full-time equivalent student (FTE) counts and met with department directors in preparation for April’s and May’s budget discussions with the Board.
Bulloch County Schools’ overall budget is composed of five funds: General Fund, Special Revenue Fund, School Nutrition Fund, Capital Projects Fund, and Debt Service Fund.
