City of Statesboro declares local state of emergency

As of 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2024, Statesboro Mayor Jonathan McCollar has declared a local state of emergency for the City of Statesboro.

A state of emergency authorizes City officials to execute emergency management plans and respond to impacts caused by Tropical Storm Debby.
