Rising Costs Mean Fewer Road Resurfacing Projects on LMIG, TSPLOST Lists

Bulloch County Commissioners voted Tuesday night to approve the list of roads to be resurfaced in 2023 with LMIG and TSPLOST funds.

But rising costs mean the county is doing less than before, with not much indication of relief in sight.

This year’s list has approximately ten miles of county road on it, which is slightly less than in years past. County Engineer Brad Deal said the county used to be able to repave one mile of road for approximately $150,000. Now, one mile is $250,000 for resurfacing.
