A Bulloch County jury returned a ‘Not Guilty’ verdict in the trial of Paul Costley on Thursday afternoon. Costley’s neighbor accused him of sexual assault following an encounter in early 2020. She stated the encounter was not consensual while Costley maintained it was. Detectives with the Statesboro Police Department arrested Costley the day after his accuser filed a report with law enforcement.
