Eggs Up Grill Opening Tuesday in Statesboro – First 20 People to Receive Free Breakfast for a Year

Eggs Up Grill, a rapidly expanding breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, will open in Statesboro, Ga. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Located at 137 Tormenta Way in the Eagles Corner Shopping Center, this is the first Eggs Up Grill for Franchise Partners Ashley and Nate Pennington. The couple are kicking off the grand opening by donating a percentage of opening day sales to family friend Allison Cole, who is suffering from cancer. They will also accept donations from guests who wish to contribute throughout opening week. Members of the Georgia Southern football team will be on hand to greet guests and sign autographs. And to round out the festivities, the first 20 people who dine on Tuesday will receive free breakfast for a year. The giveaway will be good for one meal each month for the first year.

The Penningtons met in Statesboro and are both graduates of Georgia Southern University.

Nate has spent the last 27 years in education and is the principal of Langston Chapel Elementary. Ashley, who will operate the restaurant, spent 10 years in special education in Bulloch County. After the pandemic, she decided to make a life change and focus on her family. She came across Eggs Up Grill and inquired about becoming a franchisee, knowing that it was just what Statesboro needed.

“When you walk into Eggs Up Grill, it feels like a local spot – very inviting and welcoming – and it’s something that Statesboro doesn’t currently have,” said Ashley Pennington. “When we found Eggs Up Grill, God opened the door for this to be my new career and l am very excited to serve our neighbors in a place where they can become regulars and enjoy the same type of food that you would cook in your own kitchen. We invite the community to join us on opening day for our exciting giveaway and special guests from the Georgia Southern football team.”

With indoor seating for 120 and outdoor seating for 28, the 2,800 square-foot restaurant is designed to make guests feel at home in a light, bright and cheery atmosphere. The Statesboro restaurant will serve guests seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., with dine-in, online ordering, takeout, catering and delivery options available.

Eggs Up Grill serves its full menu open to close. Signature menu items include the founder’s recipe corned beef hash with potatoes, onions and special spices, as well as made-to-order omelets, buttery, grilled blueberry muffins, classic breakfast dishes, croissant-style donuts and lunch selections including burgers, melts, salads and more. Eggs Up Grill also caters events big or small, with a menu featuring breakfast favorites like eggs, grits, home fries, biscuits and gravy and muffins. Salads and sandwiches are available for catered lunch.
