Low Country Machinery in Bulloch County Sold to Orbis Machinery

Chris Shea, owner of Low Country Machinery (JCB of Georgia) since 2016, announced Friday that Low Country Machinery has been sold to Orbis Machinery, effective May 1, 2024.

With dealerships already established in both Alabama and South Carolina, Orbis Machinery brings a wealth of experience and commitment to the JCB brand.

From the press release:

Low Country Machinery has been a long-time premier dealership for JCB construction equipment, gaining recognition as one of JCB Inc.’s top dealerships in North America over the past two decades.

Chris Shea’s journey with Low Country Machinery began two decades ago after his graduation from Georgia Southern University. He began in the parts department, as it was the only job available at the time. Over time, he advanced to a sales position and eventually purchased the company in 2016. Reflecting on his journey, Shea expressed, “Leading this team and serving our loyal customers has been a privilege. The success of Low Country Machinery is thanks to the support of our dedicated customers and employees. I am confident in Orbis Machinery’s ability to carry our legacy forward.”

Shea has confirmed his continued commitment to the industry. He will be located in Statesboro, Georgia at Shea Tractor and Equipment, an authorized full-line Kubota dealership offering a wide range of agricultural and construction equipment, including parts, service, and rental solutions. In addition, Shea has recently opened Shea Forklifts which offers a full range of LP and electric industrial forklifts.
