Mill Creek Elementary placed on lockdown; Police investigating threat made against an employee by an adult not on campus

Students and employees are safe; however, as a safety precaution, Bulloch County Schools has placed Mill Creek Elementary School on temporary lockdown this morning and law enforcement officers are on site.  

Please do not come to the school or request to pick up children at this time. Please monitor notifications from the school district for further details as to when the lockdown has ended.

During the lockdown, please help keep lines of communication open by not contacting the school office or school personnel by telephone.

An adult, who is not at the school, made a terroristic threat against a Mill Creek Elementary School employee. The incident was immediately reported to the Statesboro Police Department who has charge of the investigation.

Look for further notifications from the school district as to when the lockdown has ended.
