Retired Portal Ag teacher to be inducted into Georgia Educators Hall of Fame

RE: Retired Portal Ag teacher to be inducted into the Georgia Educators Hall of Fame during the 95th Annual GA FFA State Leadership Conference

Who:  Thomas Marshall, Ed.D., retired ag teacher from Portal Middle High School. Spent 39 years as an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor in Georgia and Florida.  He came to Portal Middle High School in August 1990, was the school’s 2015 teacher of year, and he retired in May 2020.

What:  Marshall is one of three teachers who will be inducted into the Georgia Educators Hall of Fame by Billy Huges, program manager of agriculture education within the Georgia Department of Education’s Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education program. The other teachers are Michael Berry and James Corbett. 

When:Friday, April 28, 2023, at 3:00 p.m.

Where:  During the Fourth General Session of the 95th Annual Georgia FFA State Leadership Conference at the Macon Coliseum, located at 200 Coliseum Drive, in Macon, GA.
