Kyle Sherfesee is the new General Manager of Franklin Toyota in Statesboro.
The announcement was made Thursday following a banner 2023 year at the dealership and a stellar month of December during which 190 vehicles were sold. The number was a record for Franklin Toyota – the best ever since it opened in 1979.
Sherfesee, who has more than a decade of experience in the car business, began his career at Franklin Toyota in September 2016 as a Sales Associate. He’s since worked as a Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, and now General Manager of the dealership.
“This is a great day for Franklin Automotive as one of our own, Kyle Sherfesee, becomes General Manager of the Toyota store. Kyle has the character, integrity, and leadership ability needed to take the store into the future. I am confident that he will continue to advance our culture of servant leadership and putting the customer, and this community, first,” said Lehman Franklin of Franklin Automotive.
Sherfesee told TheGeorgiaVirtue in a statement that his focus is to build Toyota as a brand and grow the business to serve more of Bulloch County and the surrounding area.
“I believe that the employees of Franklin Toyota are the most valuable assets and if we build a culture in which the employees love their job, our customers will, in turn, have the most pleasurable experience possible when at Franklin Toyota,” he said.
Sherfesee credited God first for his successes, but said Lehman and Robbie Franklin, along with the rest of the Franklin family, have played a huge role in his growth in the car business. He also said he wouldn’t be where he is if it weren’t for his wife, Shae, his immediate and extended family, his grandfather Brice Hutchings, and a number of others who helped him along the way.
“I am competitive and drive and the pride of seeing growth, change, and accomplishments met are what motivate me day in and day out. My grandfather always said ‘there are only two ways to do something: the right way and again.’ Here at Franklin Toyota, we work to get it right.”

Sherfesee is a native of Rome, GA. He and his wife, Shae, live in Statesboro with their two sons, Siloh and Chapel. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, golf, construction, and ‘anything’ with his sons and wife.
