VIDEO: Bulloch Schools Release Video of Incident of Administrator, 7-Year-Old at Mattie Lively Elementary

TGV News has obtained a copy of the surveillance footage of the incident involving an administrator at Mattie Lively Elementary School and a 7-year-old student which resulted in an arrest of the administrator for Simple Battery.

TheGeorgiaVirtue.com broke the story Tuesday that Patrick Morse Hill, 53, was arrested on Simple Battery charges on November 28. Hill’s warrants, signed by Captain Jared Akins of the Statesboro Police Department, were filed in Bulloch County State Court on December 5, 2022.

The warrant for Hill’s arrest states that, on November 14, 2022, Hill caused physical harm to a seven-year-old by “throwing him down on a bench causing a small abrasion to the knuckle area.” The school system reported to TGV News that the incident occurred while Hill was attempting to discipline the student.

The Video

The video footage was obtained by TGV News under the Georgia Open Records Act and has been published in its entirety as it was provided to TGV News. Any redactions, blurred faces, or other edits were made by the Bulloch County School System.

There are two video angles.

Hill is no longer working at Mattie Lively Elementary School and while Superintendent Charles Wilson has sought termination and non-renewal of Hill’s contract, the file decision will be made by the Board of Education following a disciplinary hearing.
