Joseph Willis (J. Willis) Deal, age 51, passed away on February 16, 2024 following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Statesboro, GA on March 15, 1972. He loved to farm, drive John Deere tractors, fish, hunt, ride horses and watch football. He was also an avid Georgia Southern fan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, L.W. & Francina Deal and Ford Neidlinger and Evelyn Fountain.
Surviving are his parents, David and Monty Neidlinger Deal of Register, GA, two brothers, Jerry (Resa) Deal and Robert Deal, both of Register, GA, one sister, Janet (Marty) Beasley of Statesboro, his nieces Marley (Cade) Rushing, MaKayla (Brandon) Cook, Blakley (Corey) Marsh, all of Statesboro, his great nieces and nephews, Hadley Rushing, John David Rushing, Everett Marsh, Brinlee Marsh and Stetson Cook, a special aunt, Clara Ann Deal as well as several other aunts and uncles and many friends.
He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Statesboro. He loved the Lord and is now in the arms of Jesus.
The family will receive visitors on Monday from 10:00am until 11:00am at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro. The funeral will follow at 11:00am with Dr. Max Alderman officiating.
Interment will follow at Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
