Mr. Robert “Bob” Fogle, age 85, died on Wednesday April 10, 2024, at Landmark Hospital in Savannah, GA.
The Bamberg, SC native was a graduate of Orangeburg High School and was from Furman University with an engineering degree. Bob worked for Grinnell Corporation for over 20 years. Following Grinnell’s closure, he became a real estate agent and worked for over 25 years.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a Captain. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Donald Fogle and Jacqueline B. Fogle; his wife Janice Grooms Fogle and a great-granddaughter Kelsey McDuffie.
Surviving is his son, Robert “Bobby” A. Fogle, Jr. and his wife Linda Gail of Hardeeville, SC, his daughter, Donna Colson of Statesboro; his grandchildren Crystal McDuffie of Brooklet, GA, Stevie McDaniel (Tamara) of Statesboro, GA, Tiffany Colson of Lewisville, AL, and Matthew Barrow (Danielle) of Claxton, GA; 16 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, his brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Connie Fogle of Jacksonville, Florida, his sisters-in-law, Faye Fogle (Merritt) and Marie McCollum, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro. A memorial service will follow in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Pastor Jody Bryant officiating.
