Mrs. Barbara Ellen Liles, age 73, died on Tuesday December 5th 2023 at Westwood Nursing Home in Statesboro. She was born in Dillon, SC on March 13th 1950 to Mr. Thomas McCray Liles Sr. and Mrs. Lucy Bennett Liles. She lived most of her life in Statesboro and was a member at Believers Church. She loved family, her church family, and loved her friends like family, and also loved chocolate milkshakes. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother Thomas McCray Liles Jr., and sister, Lola Jeanette Moore. Barbara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Jim Lee of Pooler, her grandson, Jackson Lee, her siblings, Margaret Smith (Dale) of Illinois, Ebbie Liles (Janice) of Sardis, GA, and Samantha Ullery of Spartanburg, SC, as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 15th 2023 at 11:00am at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro with Pastor Scott Moore officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A private entombment will be at Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
