Mrs. Doris Henry, a loving mother, sister, and daughter, passed away on November 19, 2023, in Statesboro, Georgia. She was born on June 16, 1953.
Doris was a woman of faith who loved the Lord and cherished her time spent at church. Outside of her professional life, Doris found joy in being a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Kesi Henry, and her son, Nicholas Henry. Doris also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Dwayne Taylor, Jalen Gober, Laila Taylor, Nicholas Henry, Nathan Henry, and Aria Henry. Great grandchildren: Maazi Gober, D’ Angel Taylor, Dezzi Taylor and Aiko Taylor. She was a beloved sister to Alice Faye Taylor, Emma Jean McCrary, Josephine Anderson, Annette Mincey, Jacqueline Hill, Sally Lynne Mincey, Lester Mincey, Jr., and Steven Mincey.
Doris was preceded in death by her father, Lester Mincey, her mother, Queen Mincey, and her sister, Carolyn Alston. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life is being held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at the New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 6600 Dekle Rd, Register, Georgia 30452, with the Reverend Larry Cone, eulogist. The pastor is the Reverend Germaine Williams. Interment will be in the the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
