Rome High School Band Receives Top Honors at Mid-South Marching Festival

The Rome High School Sound of the Seven Hills walked away from Mid-South Marching Festival with top scores and the award for the Grand Champions in the show on September 25.

System Band Director, Chad Hannah, said that their scores were a direct result of the hard work of his students and fellow band directors.

Awards include:

  • Bob Rush Superior Award (Must have superior ratings in all categories)
  • Rip Reagan (Judges choice for most entertaining show, regardless of scores)
  • Best in Class for 5A in all categories
  • Steve Reagan Greatest Showman Award (Best Drum Major score in 3A-5A)
  • Grand Champion 3A-5A

Rome City Schools would like to congratulate our band and our directors on a job well done!
