Rome High Schools Student Place at Area FFA Career Development Event

Rome City Schools would like to announce that our Meat Evaluation Team placed seventh overall at the area CDE (Career Development Event) Competition with Lauren Cornwell placing as12th overall individual.

Meats Evaluation is a career development event through FFA (Future Farmers of America) for students interested in a career in the meat industry. FFA members must memorize various meat cuts from beef, pork, and lamb; they must also challenge their knowledge with a written test about the industry and place various cuts (first through fourth place) based on quality.

These students now know what cuts of meat are best for purchase at the grocery store.

Congratulations Stephanie Rios, Lauren Cornwell, Michael Rios, JD Lanier!!
