The Paulding County Board of Commissioners recently recognized a county law enforcement officer for his exemplary service to the Paulding County Sheriffs Office.
On Tuesday February 23, 2021 Sergeant Jared Gunter, who supervises the Crime Suppression Unit at the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, was awarded the Paulding County Board of Commissioner’s Public Safety Award. Sergeant Gunter has been employed with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office for almost five years and has been in law enforcement for nearly ten years.

In addition to his exemplary service, Sergeant Gunter works diligently as the supervisor over our Crime Suppression Unit and has been an integral part of the build and design team which is implementing our new Jail and Records Management software system. Several employees wrote letters recognizing Sergeant Gunter for his hard work and dedication to the Sheriff’s Office, but especially recognized him for his hard work on our software transition. Sheriff Gulledge remarked, “Jared is very smart when it comes to technology, he is definitely one of the best. We are extremely proud of the job that he does for the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Paulding County.”
Sergeant Gunter was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Board of Commissioners along with a “Dinner for Two” Gift Card from Texas Roadhouse. Congratulations to Sergeant Gunter and thank you to Texas Roadhouse for the generous donation of the gift card!
