An arrest has been made in connection with an armed robbery that occurred outside of Glennville last week.

Investigators have been searching for the man wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on the evening of September 16 in the Gooseneck Community of Tattnall County.

Preliminary reports indicate a woman was getting out of her vehicle in her garage when she was grabbed by the suspect who held her at gunpoint. A police report stated the female victim told authorities that the suspect demanded she hand over her jewelry and bags in her vehicle. The report said the value of the items was approximately $25,000.

Tattnall County Sheriff Kyle Sapp said Monday that a joint investigation with the Evans County Sheriff’s Office had resulted in an arrest. Deonte Rashavius Miller of Macon, GA was arrested around 11:45 a.m. on Monday.

Authorities say Miller was also wanted by the Evans County Sheriff’s Office for an additional robbery that occurred earlier that same day.

Miller is being held at the Tattnall County Jail without bond on one (1) count of Armed Robbery, one (1) count of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of Certain Crimes and one (1) count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Miller is also facing a Robbery charge in Evans County.

In the media release, Tattnall County Sheriff Kyle Sapp and Evans County Sheriff Mac Edwards both expressed their appreciation to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Georgia State Patrol and the Criminal Investigators of the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office and the Evans County Sheriff’s Office for their diligent work on this case.
