GBI Investigates Deaths in McIntosh County

The GBI is investigating the deaths of Kyle Bradford Bailey, age 36, of Townsend, GA and Catherine Irene Daugherty, age 44, of Townsend, GA.

On August 19, 2024, McIntosh County deputies responded to Bailey and Daugherty’s home in Townsend, GA, to conduct a welfare check after family members and employers reported that they were unable to reach Bailey or Daugherty.

McIntosh County deputies discovered both Bailey and Daugherty dead inside the home.

Their bodies were taken to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office where autopsies will be performed.
