The Supreme Court of Georgia has denied Georgia death row inmate Virgil Delano Presnell, Jr.’s application for a certificate of probable cause to appeal the denial of his petition for habeas corpus by the Superior Court for Butts County. READ THE ORDER
The Court also has dismissed Presnell’s motion to stay his execution because the execution order has expired.
A separate case related to Presnell, State of Georgia et al. v. Federal Defender Program, Inc. et al., S22W1021, remains pending before the Court.
