A former teacher has been arrested by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and charged with more than 80 counts of various sex crimes.
The GBI has arrested and charged Lorenzo Dennard, age 34, of Atkinson County, GA, with 77 counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children, 3 counts of Electronically Furnishing Obscene Material to a Minor, and 1 count of Improper Sexual Contact by an Employee.
On Friday, June 21, 2024, the Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to investigate allegations that Dennard, a former Wilcox County teacher and coach, had an inappropriate relationship with a former student.
Dennard was booked at the Wilcox County Jail and released on bond.
