Botanical Sciences’ Pharmacy Partners First to Dispense Medical Cannabis Through Independent Pharmacies in Georgia

Botanical Sciences, Georgia’s first physician-founded, fully integrated medical cannabis provider, announces that its products will be the first to be dispensed in the state through pharmacies. This marks the first ever sales of medical cannabis in pharmacies, as Georgia has recently become the first state in the nation to allow the distribution of medical cannabis products to registered patients at independent pharmacies.

On Oct. 25, the following pharmacies began dispensing Botanical Sciences’ cannabis medicine:

  • Omega Pharmacy – 246 Oak Street, Omega, GA 31775
  • Robins Pharmacy – 150 S Houston Lake Rd #300, Warner Robins, GA 31088
  • Tifton Drug Company – 602 Love Avenue, Tifton, GA 31794

“It’s an honor to be a part of this historic moment in Georgia’s health care landscape, being the first to dispense medical cannabis at independent pharmacies in the country,” Botanical Sciences CEO Gary Long said. “Our mission at Botanical Sciences is to provide patients with the long-anticipated hope and relief they deserve. We firmly believe in the trust and professionalism pharmacists provide to patients at this pivotal point in our state’s adoption of medical cannabis.”

Earlier this month, Botanical Sciences announced its partnership with over 130 exclusive, independent pharmacies throughout the state that will be dispensing medical cannabis to patients in need. Through this strategic expansion, patients who have received a recommendation from their physician and obtained their medical cannabis card will have greater access to this critical medicine. In addition to being available at licensed pharmacies throughout the state, Botanical Sciences opened dispensaries in Marietta and Pooler earlier this summer and will open its newest location on Oct. 31 in Stockbridge.
